| Thu 27 May 2010 / 20:31:18 -- The GRASSY-ASS AMIGO CAMP (School Holidays) The GRASSY-ASS AMIGO CAMP is a 5 day mountain boarding school coarse running from Monday the 31st of May till the 4th of June. Starting every morning at 9am and finishing at 3.45pm. The week will be a chance for children age 8 and upwards to not only learn some great new skills in what is one of the most exciting and friendliest sports around but also to meet like minded individuals and make some new friends. The week will include our qualified coaches nurturing everyones boarding skills with skill progression workshops, new styles of riding, fun sessions, end of week fun comp and a certificate of achivement award. Prices. 80 pounds - 5 Days - Includes all pads and board plus a free lesson/refresher session (worth 25 pounds). 20 pounds - Single days - Includes all pads and board. (please include an extra one of payment of 15 pounds for the mandatory lesson/refresher session if your child has not yet had a lesson or it is over 6 months since their last, this is a saving of 10 pounds of the usual 25 pounds per lesson). Things to bring, a signed by an adult disclaimer, this can be down loaded of our web site, sensible outdoor clothing/footwear, a packed lunch and lots of energy ! Boarders can also bring their own bikes if they would like to do some intermitant biking. Surf the Turf will also be open to reguler riders/general public, during these hours. | Wed 15 July 2009 / 20:35:12 -- Open day for the four cross/boarder cross PLEASE NOTE: New enterance has been created about 25 yards down from the old one, please follow the signs and park in the field where Surf The Turf is located. We will be holding an open day and BBQ, World Champion mountain boarder Tom Kirkman fresh back from wowing the crowds in Europe will be there taking freestyle/boarder cross workshops for those already reasonably competent on a board, there will also be a chance for people who haven\\\'t tried mountain boarding yet to give it a go with half price lessons, if booked prior to the open day. Weather permitting we will hopefully be having a BBQ and film show, show casing mountain boarding and mountain biking. Riding will also be half price for boarders or bikers who are already competent and want to try out the new terrain. Especially the freshly revamped FOUR CROSS track, loaded with berms, rollers, and good size table tops and wall rides etc. Book now to avoid disappointment!! |

At last spring is here and Surf The Turf is once again taking bookings :) The farmer is to lay a new path from the car park to Surf The Turf, but in the mean time visitors willunfortunately have to navigate their way across a muddy field. We are looking to set this club up one evening during the week so that if you have already had a lesson and want to improve your skills, meet other mountainboards and have fun after school then please email Markus to say that your interested and what day would be best for you. |
